Chattanooga History Makers 2014: John P. Franklin, Sr.

"Chattanooga History Makers 2014: John P. Franklin, Sr." is a short documentary produced by WTCI in partnership with the Chattanooga History Center. The documentary honors the life and work of John Porter Franklin, Sr. and his 60+ years of service to the city of Chattanooga as a business leader, educator and elected official. In 1971, Mr. Franklin made history by becoming the first black elected official post-Jim Crowe. Join us in celebrating Mr. Franklin's contributions to the city and to the people he has impacted throughout his life.
