An established journalist, Greg is a reporter and he co-anchors WRCB’s, Live at 5:30 and Channel 3 Eyewitness News at 11:00.
Greg is a native of Gallatin, Tennessee. He grew up in central Virginia where he got his start in radio. While in college at the University of Tennessee, he hosted the popular "Love Songs at Night" program which carried him from Knoxville to Charlotte, North Carolina; while in the Queen City, Greg made the switch to news, weekday mornings at WLYT-FM and weekends at WCNC-TV.
Greg joined the Eyewitness News Team in September of 2003. Since then, Greg has anchored news, sports and even served a stint in the Storm Alert Center as weatherman. Here, he has reported on many important stories across the Tennessee Valley. When Volkswagen announced they were coming to Enterprise South, Greg provided live reports from the press conference, interviewing company and political leaders about the big announcement. In October, he followed up by filing daily reports from the Wolfsburg, Germany - the home of VW.
A political wonk, he has covered two Presidential visits, two Vice Presidential visits and reported live from the Presidential Debate at Nashville's Belmont University; and, in 2007, Greg followed the Ooltewah High School Marching Band to the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade in New York.
Beyond the politics and away from the camera, Greg is an actor from way back, making time to practice his craft on stage. He even has a Miss Annie award from the Chattanooga Theatre Centre to prove it! He also sings with the big band Sweet Georgia Sound. The University of Tennessee Pride of the Southland’s Drum Major in college, Greg is proud to serve as the marching band's announcer when needed and he is the voice of the Smoky Mountain Music Festival each year in Gatlinburg.
