WTCI will be featuring one of PBS’s most popular musical talents, Celtic Woman, this Thursday, July 30, at 8 p.m. and 10 p.m., with additional encore presentations on August 2 and 5. CELTIC WOMAN: THE GREATEST JOURNEY is airing as a special feature to launch the beginning of WTCI’s August Membership Festival. Celtic Woman will be in concert in Chattanooga on October 24, 2009, and WTCI will offer special front-row ticket opportunities and a meet-and-greet after the concert for fans who would like to meet the women who inspire and entertain audiences throughout the world. CELTIC WOMAN: THE GREATEST JOURNEY portrays the journey of Celtic Woman to many of their number 1 hits, including “Danny Boy,” “Somewhere,” “Orinoco Flow,” “At the Ceili” and many more. Celtic Woman has sold more than 3 million CD’s and DVD’s in the U.S. with a number 1 hit on the Billboard World Music Chart for more than 90 consecutive weeks. Vocalists Lisa, Chloë, Órla, Méav, Hayley, Alex, Lynn and fiddler Máiréad come together in this phenomenal collection of their most memorable songs. These young, Irish women, along with David Downes, composer and musical director, and Sharon Browne, show producer, feature creative renditions of Irish songs.
