WTCI Announces New Board Members
CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. – September 1, 2009 – WTCI-TV, the community’s PBS station, announced new officers and members of its Board of Directors for 2009-10 fiscal year. Linda Mosley, former Board Secretary, was elected as chairwoman at a recent meeting. WTCI’s board of directors also elected Valerie Epstein as vice chairwoman, Cole Powell as treasurer and Carlene Wentland as secretary.
“We appreciate the time and energy these dedicated professionals bring to our board. It is each member’s unique professional experience that brings strength to our board,” said Paul Grove, WTCI President and CEO. “And of course, we are always excited to have new and returning board members willing to serve the Tennessee Valley as part of WTCI.
The following individuals are newly elected to the board: Mary Kilbride, Ward Petty, Bill Robinson , and Susan Street. These board members will join returning members Andrew Berke, Steve Bivens, Larry Buie, Maggie Carrington, Mel Cooper, Nick Coussoule, Rose Decosimo, Margo Fitzgerald, Lou Garcia, Steve Gatlin, Tom Griscom, Ralph Kendall, Mai Bell Hurley, Shawn Kurrelmeier-Lee, Paul Starnes, Albert Waterhouse and Dr. Lee Whitaker.
The board helps WTCI achieve its goals by promoting public interest in support of educational activities, fundraising, and sponsoring, publicizing and eliciting support of the community’s PBS station.
