Free Activites, Games, and Fun for the Whole Family

WTCI celebrates its partnership with Tennessee Valley families on Sunday, November 11th from 12 - 3 PM at 7540 Bonnyshire Drive, right behind the Bonny Oaks driver service center.  Family Day will include performances by Schoolhouse Rock legend Bob Dorough and a special "Meet and Greet" with the jazz legend for members of WTCI-PBS.  If you haven't signed up to be a member of the WTCI Kid's Club you can contact Nichole Abiose and reserve a seat at this special member opportunity.  

There is something wonderful for everyone in the family at WTCI's Family Day 2012.  Children will have the opportunity to meet some of their favorite PBS characters and have their picture taken with Alpha Pig, Word Girl, Super Why!, Digit and Dash.  Families can have fun with the green screen, enjoy face painting and colored hair games, a puppet show and a book drive.  

The Creative Discovery Museum, the Chattanooga School of Language, the Chattanooga Nature Center and Arboretum and the Chattanooga Zoo will be sharing great messages with families while everyone enjoys games and fun.  We R CPR, Signal Centers, the Hamilton County Fire Department, United Way and St. Nicholas will be offering demonstrations and resources.

Budding writers will have the opportunity to enjoy workshops with an author and an illustrator.  Hollie Stockman is the author of Leon the Lizard and will guide children through the process of telling a story.  Johnny Stockman, an illustrator, will workshop ideas with children about how to illustrate their stories.
