Clifford’s Reading Marathon
Join the fun and get reading! You’ll have a tail-waggin’ good time with – Clifford the Big Red Dog!
WTCI and Read 20 are teaming up to encourage children and their families to spend quality time reading together when they sponsor Clifford’s Reading Marathon, which takes places April 7-26. The marathon is part of WTCI’s Ready to Learn initiative.
It’s simple to participate in Clifford’s Reading Marathon-just print the registration form found here, and get reading! Children are encouraged to read at least four hours over the 20-day marathon. Participants may read alone, read to someone else, or be read to by another person.
Clifford’s Reading Marathon is a great way for families to read together. As part of our dedication to the community’s children, the marathon is a fun way to promote literacy.
Once children complete the marathon, they will become Super Readers and receive a certificate of completion, signed by Clifford! Reading logs can be mailed to WTCI or dropped off at Read 20’s ReadFest at Finley Stadium on Saturday, April 26 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.
