PBS is known for incredible documentaries like The War and The Farmer's Wife.  Great documentaries introduce us to people and experiences that may be unfamiliar to us.  But their power is in reminding us that despite our disparate experiences, we share common dreams & fears.

Carrier is the latest in a long line of acclaimed documentary series from PBS.  The 10-part HD series: 

  follows a core group of film participants aboard the USS Nimitz, from the admiral  of  the strike group to the fighter pilots to the youngest sailors, as they navigate  personal  conflicts around their jobs, families, faith, patriotism, love, the rites of  passage and the  war on terror.
