WTCI Names Richard Johnson VP of Development

Richard Johnson has been named Vice President of Development at WTCI, Chattanooga’s community PBS station. Richard came to WTCI from Virginia College School of Business and Health where he managed Career Services, Marketing and Development. As Vice President of Development, Richard will guide WTCI through a development campaign that will position the PBS station to better serve its 24-county region, using his experience in building business by helping clients identify regional trends and applying them to marketing strategies and promotions. WTCI Hosts Kids' Day at Lake Winnie

Winnepesaukah means “bountiful water” but when Carl and Minette Dixon opened Lake Winnie in 1925 they didn’t know how those waters would entertain families over most of the next century.  Their most popular ride, the Boat Chute, is now the oldest mill chute water ride in the United States.  Members of WTCI’s Kids Club will enjoy a free day at Lake Winnie on Sunday, August 24th.  If you haven’t signed up for or renewed your child’s membership call Cynthia Wilson today at 423-702-7819.
