HISTORY MAKERS MCCALLIE DOCUMENTARY TO AIR THANKSGIVING ON WTCI

            The American Queen is coming to Chattanooga.  Karen Elliott, host of the long-running and celebrated program “Southern Accents,” has been aboard the historic steamboat filming an upcoming episode of the locally-produced WTCI series.   The boat will dock in Chattanooga on Saturday, September 21st in the early morning and will leave to begin the 9-day river journey at approximately 6 PM. Chattanooga’s PBS station, WTCI, and producers Emily Compton and Peter DeLynn won an Emmy Award from the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, MidSouth Division.   The COMMUNITY/PUBLIC SERVICE SPOT, One with Courage, is a three-minute, 40-second video imploring Tennesseans to stand against child abuse.  The winner was announced at the Schermerhorn Symphony Center in Nashville on Saturday, January 25th and the award was accepted by WTCI’s producer, Emily Compton.
