Mai Bell Hurley 2011 TN Woman of Distinction

ENCORE BROADCAST OF MAI BELL HURLEY EPISODE OF "THE A LIST WITH ALISON LEBOVITZ" TO AIR THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 10 AT 8:30 PM

Mai Bell Hurley was an advocate and leader and, in all things, she was guided by her commitment to children and families.  WTCI is grateful for her stewardship as a board member and joins Chattanooga in mourning her loss.

Please join us in honoring her legend and celebrating her life Thursday, September 10th at 8:30 PM in a special encore broadcast of "The A List with Alison Lebovitz" on WTCI.  Alison Lebovitz has interviewed everyone from Ken Burns to Jane Pauley and her discussion with Mai Bell Hurley will inspire you as they travel the path of her career and explore how her service changed the landscape of her city and the futures of its families.

As Chattanooga's community PBS station it is our mission to tell the stories that make our region so strong and unique.  Mai Bell Hurley's story will inspire you and her groundbreaking roles as first City Councilwoman, first female United Way campaign chair and community activist reflected her love of children and families and might guide you toward your own service.

Thank you for letting our station be the one place that can take you and your family anyplace.  We are grateful for the opportunity to celebrate Mai Bell Hurley and her impact on Chattanooga.

Sincerely,

Paul Grove
